There is a potato weed in here, the beets I was so proud of planting which have gone to seed :-( and a nice kale which needs harvested.

Next door is the onion patch I have now decided is not necessary.  Unfortunately, harvesting them all at once (they need it) means processing them (drying, lacto fermenting), but I do not need any more onion product.  The goal is to have it fresh year round, which I pretty much do.  There is also all the remaining product I processed last year...

They're beauties, though!

The whistles need chopped off.  Better yet, harvest the whole mess and DO something with them!

Soon we will require the space for the corn.  This is a tomatillo weed better looking and stronger than any other on the property.  It does not belong here and can not stay!  :-(

The arugula patch has been harvested, gone to seed, been removed...  partially.

The beet portion of the corn row.  These do want to be processed (I lacto preserve them) for use year round in salads.  I suppose it really is true, though, that by succession planting them, they could be ready to harvest in succession, and eaten fresh...
